For six months in 2010, iTunes played Billboard’s Top 100 tracks from the year of its birth, 2001, on random in an office in Vancouver, Canada 24hours a day seven days a week to discover what songs the software liked most. Played a total of 279 times, the single most favorite song played by iTunes from the year 2001 was Travis Tritt’s It’s a Great Day To Be Alive.
